Passing Wave

Up close and in person is the only way to truly appreciate this piece. Even then, it has proven impossible to convince some that this is not a painting. Discovered in Pierce's archives one quiet afternoon, this image emerged as a crowning achievement in pursuit of a painterly aesthetic. Each drop of water and ray of sun mix perfectly conditions as they drift past Pierce's camera. The movement and blending of motion and texture creates a painting of color and light.
